Privacy Policy
Effective 22 August 2026
The short version: we collect what you type into the contact form, nothing else. This site sets no cookies and runs no trackers. We do not sell your information. The detail follows, and it is worth reading — we wrote it to be accurate rather than to be broad.
Who we are
Alpine Systems ("Alpine Systems", "we", "us", "our") builds and operates marketing systems for local service businesses. This policy explains what we collect through alpinesystems.co, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
- Contact: hello@alpinesystems.co
We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy — that is, we decide why and how it is used.
What this policy covers
This policy covers information collected through this website and from people who contact us about our services — prospects, clients, and anyone who fills in the contact form or emails us.
It does not cover information we handle on behalf of a client. When we run a client's website, search presence, answering service, or follow-up messaging, we process their customers' data as a service provider under our written agreement with that client, and their own privacy policy governs it, not this one.
It also does not cover any third-party website you reach from a link here. Those sites have their own policies.
What we collect
Information you give us
The contact form on this site is the only place we ask you for anything. When you submit it, we receive:
- Your name
- Your business name
- A phone number or email address — whichever you choose to give
- Whatever you write in the message field
All of it is voluntary. If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you include in that message.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, browser type and version, referring page, and the date and time of your request — standard server log data, recorded by our hosting provider.
- Your IP address is also held briefly in memory to rate-limit contact form submissions. That is a spam control; it is not written to a database and is discarded within a minute.
What we do not collect
This is unusual enough to state plainly. As of the effective date above, this website:
- Sets no cookies of any kind, and stores nothing in your browser.
- Runs no analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or heatmap tools.
- Embeds no third-party widgets, chat tools, video players, or scheduling frames.
- Serves its fonts from our own servers rather than a third-party font CDN, so loading a page here does not tell any other company that you visited.
- Does not build a profile of you, follow you across other websites, or use automated decision-making.
We do not collect payment card details through this website, and we never ask for sensitive personal information — government identifiers, health information, precise geolocation, or biometric data.
Why we use it
We use the information above only to:
- Reply to your enquiry and have a conversation about whether we are a fit.
- Provide, and send you information about, the services you ask us for.
- Keep the site working, secure, and free of automated abuse.
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in the contact form. If we ever start sending marketing email, it will be to people who asked for it, and every message will have a working unsubscribe link.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
We do share it with a small number of service providers who help us operate, each of whom is contractually limited to using it only on our instructions:
- Hosting and delivery — Vercel Inc. (United States). Serves this website and records standard server logs.
- Email delivery — Resend (United States). Delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to — a subpoena, court order, or similar — or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our clients, or someone's safety. If our business is ever sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction, and this policy will follow it until we tell you otherwise.
How long we keep it
- Contact form submissions and related correspondence: for as long as we are in conversation with you, and for up to two years afterwards so we can pick the thread back up. If you become a client, for the life of the engagement plus whatever period our accounting and tax obligations require.
- Server logs: retained by our hosting provider on a short rolling window, typically measured in hours to days.
- The in-memory rate-limit record of your IP address: under one minute.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.
Your choices and your rights
Whatever state or country you are in, you can email hello@alpinesystems.co and ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Give you a copy of it.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it.
- Stop contacting you.
We will respond within 45 days. We may need to confirm your identity first — usually just by replying from the address you originally contacted us on. We will never charge you for making a request, and we will never treat you differently for having made one.
Depending on where you live, you may have these rights as a matter of law rather than as a matter of our policy — California and a growing number of other US states now grant them, as do the UK and the EEA, along with the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our practice is to honour these requests from anyone who makes one, regardless of whether a particular statute obliges us to.
Do Not Track signals
California law requires us to tell you how we respond to a browser's "Do Not Track" signal.
We do not track visitors across other websites or over time, and no third party collects personally identifiable information through this site, so there is nothing here for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. We honour it by default, in the sense that the behaviour it asks us to stop is behaviour we never started. If that ever changes, we will update this section before the change goes live.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, with HSTS enabled, and the number of people with access to contact form submissions is deliberately very small. We hold no payment data.
We will not tell you your data is perfectly safe, because no system is. What we will tell you is that if a breach ever affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires, and we will tell you what actually happened.
Children
This site is aimed at business owners. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email hello@alpinesystems.co and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. Where a change materially affects how we handle information we already hold, we will make a reasonable effort to tell the people affected directly.
We keep the effective date honest. If the date at the top has not changed, neither has the policy.
